#teachingaxelharmantl: Halloween Theme - Peel the Jack O Lantern and Mr Skull.

Hi Loves,

Halloween is around the corner. AR absolutely loves dressing up and of course she loves to help me put up the decorations as well. So it’s only natural to start introducing to AH (the baby of the family) this spooktakular celebration.

Here in Malaysia, not many people celebrate it. We even had neighbour come over to show the kids our decorations at home. Even tho it was simple. Hah! But oh well, the more friends we make in this new neighbourhood. Who knows, we might even introduce trick or treating around the neighbourhood right? Anyways, back to introducing AH to Halloween.

Here’s a really simple activity that helps them with their fine motor skills as well!

Things you need:
- Muffin tray
- Mini Jack O Lantern or Skull heads. (Preferably baby friendly, something less scary.)
- Masking tape.

I love that whenever I’m getting a sensory activity ready. AR being the big sister would also like to get involved. So she tore out masking tape and helped me tape the Jack O Lanterns and Mr Skull into the tray.

It’s always lovely when the oldest wants to reach out to help with their little siblings. It does make a mama feel extra proud of their relationship.

Less than 5 minutes to prepare this.

We presented it to AH, it took him a while to figure out what to do. AR had to show him how to tear off the masking tape once, and he got it on his own.

Just look at those little fingers get into work peeling the masking tape off. And what a fun activity that gave mommy 30 minutes of sanity. Hah!

Extremely thankful AR sat down next to AH to guide him. Such a special bond these two have. So special in so many ways.

Till the next Halloween activity. Stay Tuned!!

XOXO,
CC.
