#teachingaxelharmantl: Chia Seeds & Bottle Caps

Hey Loves,

The month of October didn’t start pretty well for us. My FIL passed at the end of Sept and we had loads going on, both the kids took turns to fall sick and it took us a while to get back on our feet all over again. Bout here we are.. Back with a baby activity.

Honestly, 7 years later. Loads of new sensory for AH to explore, loads of new activities. And this time, with better knowledge background for me.. It’s easier to do this.

IMPORTANT: Only do this activity when your baby has started solid journey and is ok with chia seeds. I did this activity with AH when he was 7 months and did not have any allergy reaction to chia seeds.

Things you need:
- Tray
- Container / Tupperware.
- Recycled Bottle Caps from food pouches / Juice Pouches
- Spoon
- Chia Seeds
- Water

1. Pour in the water into the container.
- Water always calms a baby, water always calms a child as well! Water is honestly magical so it’s always fun to do a water play sensory.

2. Throw in the Chia Seeds & Bottle Caps
- Give the Chia seeds a while to soak up the water and expend into this gooey, slimy texture. Then throw in the bottle caps. You want to make sure the bottle caps are first before throwing them in. Just in case baby decides to pop it in their mouth.

3. Let the Exploring BEGIN!
- On an important note, please do not leave baby alone with this activity.

Loved watching AH’s little fingers exploring the texture of the chia seeds, loved to see his little hands grab the bottle caps and exploring the different colours. While baby grabs the different coloured bottle caps, you can teach them the colours of the caps, the number of caps.

Just remember, sensory and water play is always messy. So just let baby explore and most importantly HAVE FUN!

Till the next activity,

XOXO,
CC.
