How To: Detox Water

Lately, I have been pretty much obsessed with health. Eating healthy, working out everyday, drinking loads of water. Now I know some of us, with our busy schedule we tend to forget to drink water. You see, water takes up to two thirds of our human body weight. Did you know our human body cannot function at all if you do not drink enough water.. It's like how a car needs petrol to move la. So here's an idea.. 

So I am one of them who used to drink more than 10 cups of water in a day. I thought I really needed to figure out a way to drink loads of water and detox at the same time. So why not.. Detox water? You are drinking the right amount of water (more in fact) and able to detox your body too. Why not right? Also.. Another bonus point drinking more water makes your skin look extra gorgeous and stunning. 

So this is really easy to do. 

All you need is.  

- Lemon Slice
- Orance Slice
- Lime 
- Mint Leaves
- Water

Now here's why I chose this certain 'ingredients' 

1. Lemon - Lemon provides a cleansing effect of citric acid to help clear out the digestive system. 
2. Oranges - They contain flavonoids in the peel and juice that stimulates the immune system and helps to reduce cholesterol level.
3. Mint - Other than the nice refreshing flavour.. It helps to digest more effectively improving the flow of bile from the liver to the gallbladder, to the small intestine. Also mints helps to relax cramped up stomach muscles. 
4. Lime - Lime helps to stimulate and regulate the digestive track, bile production and thin out bile. 
5. Water - Because the whole purpose is to drink more water.. That's all. image
